How MATCH works
MATCH is grounded in years of clinical research from the University of Melbourne and co-designed with aged care teams, registered music therapists, family carers, and people with living experience of dementia.
MATCH in Care Settings
Our dedicated app; MATCH-RAC (MATCH for Residential Aged Care) provides professional carers with the necessary training to integrate music interventions to their residents daily care plans.
MATCH at Home
Our specialised app; MATCH-HC (MATCH for Home Care) is designed to support families caring for a loved one at home. It provides you with access to training and resources to effectively use music to soothe your loved one throughout their day, and in moments of distress or agitation.
MATCHplus
MATCHplus builds on the MATCH offering by integrating sensor-based AI to detect early physiological markers of agitation, enabling pre-emptive music interventions.

Introducing MATCHplus
A wearable sensor that detects agitation and provides early intervention music to soothe distress.
MATCHplus builds on the MATCH offering by integrating sensor-based AI to detect early physiological markers of agitation, enabling pre-emptive music interventions.
This real-time, auto-adaptive approach improves symptom management, reduces medication reliance, and fosters a more enabling environment for people with dementia. The technology is applicable to all dementia types characterised by agitation and cognitive decline.
Currently in prototype at the University of Melbourne.
